David earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in 1975. His vision of starting a series of comprehensive summer art programs for young children began 16 years ago when he saw a need for an alternative to traditional summer day camp programs. He brings his creativity, enthusiasm and love of children to each program he created.

Owner & Director

Ashley earned her Bachelor of the Arts degree, majoring in both Communications and Theatre Arts, from The University of Arizona in 2003. She then earned her Masters of the Arts and Cross Cultural Communications degree from National University in 2007. She also obtained her Multiple Subjects teaching credential in 2007. Ashley has worked with children for over twenty years through camps, volunteer programs, coaching, tutoring, and teaching! She has a background in Education, a love for the Arts, and a talent for working with children! Her goal is to positively influence children who attend The Art Camp with her originality, sparkle, and creativity! This will be Ashley’s 11th summer as Camp Director & her 3rd summer as Camp Owner!

Art Camp 101 Director

Kathryn earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Recreation & Tourism Management with a minor in Sustainability from Cal State Northridge. Kathryn spent August 2015 - September 2016 teaching children English while she was studying abroad in Spain! Kathryn has extensive babysitting, childcare, teaching and summer camp experience. For three years, Katheryn was the Karate Instructor at Sierra Canyon Day Camp (teaching campers ages 3-15). Because of her dedication and abilities, she was then promoted to Director of Programs (ovreseeing all hiring, training & operating staffmembers). Katheryn is so excited to return for her 2nd summer as the Art Camp 101 Director! She is commited to creating a fun & unique camp experience for our youngest campers!

Assistant Director & Office Manager

Tayler McManus is a current student at Chapman University, where she will graduate in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Tayler is currently earning a major in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration. Tayler has many years of experience working with children and teens, through babysitting, tutoring and childcare! Tayler's artistic abilities began at the age of 5 with dance, drawing and painting. As an original member of the Art Camp's Pop Fridayz Dance Crew, she can't wait to perform for the kids every week!!! This will be Tayler's 11th year at The Art Camp, she has transitioned from JCIT to CIT to Counselor to Teacher, and now to Assistant Director & Office Manager! Tayler is very excited to work alongside the amazing Art Camp Director Team. She promises to make sure our campers have the absolute best summer yet!!

CIT/JCIT Director

Jenn Solomon earned her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Chapman University in 2017, and is currently a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Conejo Valley school district. In 2015, she also obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Redlands in Communication Disorders. Jenn has worked with kids and teens ages 2-18 in both summer camp and academic settings. This will be Jenn's 7th summer at Art Camp. She has worked as a Camp Counselor with every age level: Art Camp 101, Upper Camp and Teen Camp. She is so excited to return for her 2nd summer as Art Camp's JCIT & CIT Director! Jenn is committed to creating a positive, fun learning environment for all JCITs and CITs!
